Hello World!

Author: We have moved house. We have space to play and privacy to do what we want.
Asha is 100 times happier than we have seen her for a long time.
We have painted, played bump, fed the birds, made magic gardens, cleaned the cat tray, done the vacume cleaning, had friends around to play and basically had a ball of a time so far.
I hope to get some pictures up soon. However we have fantastic views to the front, and a mountain garden to the back.

Changed AGAIN!
We had a few problems getting our blog rings and our advert for Barefoot books to work with the last theme. Hopefully now we have it all working we will be far happier and familytreehouse can expand to take over erm…. My spare time!

Blog Rings.
Since we re-did the front end, and added the pencils, we havent been able to get the blog rings to work. I am hopeing that buy the end of this week we will get them working again. Please bare with us over this, its taking more effort and man hours than we thought possible!

A Fresh Start
For a long time I used Textpattern as a CMS and for some blogging. After spending a couple of days messing about with Textpattern for this blog and not getting it to behave itself, I gave up and installed WP. I had used WP in the past, but had never got on with PHP and so found it very frustrating. So it was with some misgivings I installed it.
I still don’t like the layout of the Admin, I still don’t like the PHP or how complicated it is to change the style/theme. But, it has taken me 2 hours with WP to do what it had taken 2 days with TP and the TP site still didn’t work properly. I admit that the problems with TP are more to do with me than TP itself.
Perhaps in time me and WP will become friends.
