Money… of the pocket kind.
When i was little i used to get 20p a week. All I could buy with it was a packet of polos and some penny sweets.
No where we go to regually sells anything at such small prices, and as we go out a lot. we have found ourselves spending quite a lot of money on Asha.. two ice creams a week = £3. a drink out of a drinks machine, £1.50 a toy from a shop – £3. I wont buy her normal gift items from these places cos she dosnt need pencils, paper etc.. were sinking under the stuff.
As such we have decided to give her £6 a week.. out of that she has to buy all her own ice creams, drinks, toys, etc. If we go out and i havent put a drink in for her then its different..
But for example this week – sunday – circus.. loads of stuff she wanted.. but was happy shareing a bag of candyfloss.. she wanted to go on bouncy castle.. but though about a first aid kit she had seen in post office.. So already its helping her make choices etc. She understands that she cant have everything, and has to save up.. We will see how it goes. She no longer spends the whole time were shopping saying.. can I have…

Plas Newydd
We finally got to Plas Newydd today. We didnt however get inside the house, to see the wonderful paintings, or such things, but small steps..

It was there circus fun day, but Asha wasnt feeling too good, but she did love Mr bimbamboozle (Chris) and the punch and judy show. She spent time playing with Wayne and Debbie, but didnt really want to do much as she was tired.
The history of the estate may be traced back to the 15th century, and the Griffiths family. They were an enormously powerful and wealthy family of the Penrhyn estate in Bangor. They did in fact at that time own most of the important Anglesey estates. Gwilym ap Griffith (d1431) had married Morfydd, the daughter of Goronwy ap Tudur of Penmynydd. Her esteemed Anglesey family were blood relatives of King Henry VII.
In 1553, one of their descendants, Ellen Griffith (d1573) married Sir Nicholas Bagenal, Marshal of the army in Ireland, and the owner of Irish estates. Their granddaughter Ann (d1623) married Sir Lewis Bayly – the Bishop of Bangor, tutor and chaplain to both the sons of King James I.

Netherlands National Circus.
We went to the Netherlands National Circus yesterday, and whilst all of the acts were fantastic, I would now keep an eye out for the cube artiste alina eskina as I felt she was fantastic, and her act was asthetically beautiful. I saw a fairy….

THE BUGROVI SISTERS were also inspirational, as were the trapeze artists, (The Bull Dancers) however I did feel sick watching them doing tripple summersaults in the air.

Greenwood Center..
Asha and I went to the greenwood center today. Asha had a wonderful time, we spent some time playing on the swings, and she surprised me at her improved balance and mobility.
We spent some time walking though the exhibition, and we spent a long time discussing deserts, sand blasting and errosion. Soil errosion (due to water) had cropped up last week when we were on the beach as well.. So its an in subject for Asha right now!
We also spent some time doing a few of the building projects, both in the main hall, where we worked together to get the church built, and outside, where Asha built a couple of towers.
Asha wasnt that keen on the pirate theater show, but she did watch most of it.

More and more camping…
We have just done a C.L.A.S creative learning and support, camp on anglesey. It was a week long, and fantastic as normal. Asha enjoyed playing, being, learning and everything else which happens in camp. She also proved to me, how she really is being a good girl over her violin and practiced 5 days out of 7.
She is loving it.

Another day, another good day.
I didnt sleep well last night, a mixture of the air being very hot, and humid, and Asha deciding she wanted to be in our bed.
Anyway, when I finally fell asleep at around 6 am, my body slept heavily, but i woke up early to the sound of Asha playing with Daddy.
Steve had to go and help our landlord this morning, but before he went, we all sat down and did Asha’s violin practice. She is currently learning how to hold the bow, the violin and how to bow. Three VERY important skills in violin playing!
After she did this, we talked about music for a while, and then she played. This evening, she sat and supervised me practicing my Clarinet. It is the first time for a very long time I have had it out, and I have found some beginners books to work through, to help get me going with it all again.
Asha had great fun, winding up my metronome and clapped along with me, to my tunes, when I couldnt get the beat. After laughing at me, as I struggled to get going, with my clarinet, she failed to get a squeak out of it.. But then I knew she would. Is that naughty??
Between Music, she has been playing with her toys, watching the birds on the trees, and doing make and do.. Oh the joys.

The Story of Gellert, or how Bedgellert got its name.
The trusted hound of Prince Llewellyn the Great of Wales.
Llewellyn the Great (in Welsh, Llewellyn Fawr) was a prince of north Wales who united all of Gwynedd. He was born in 1173, probably in either Dolbadarn or Dolwyddelan castle, and died in 1240, of a stroke, in Aberconwy.
Llewellyn was married to Joan Plantaganet, the natural daughter of King John of England, with whom he had a son Daffydd. He was also married to a Welshwoman named Tannsgwyl Roch, with whom he had another son, Llewellyn, and a daughter, Helen.
He is also thought to have built the castle at Criccieth, on the Llyn Peninsula, around 1230.Having been left to guard his master’s infant son, the hound, Gellert killed a wolf that attempted to attack the child Daffyd. Llewellyn, returning home to find the baby missing and Gellert’s muzzle stained with blood, assumed that the dog had destroyed his son, and stabbed it. He later found the child unharmed beneath the overturned cradle, with the wolf’s corpse beside him. The remorseful prince caused Gellert to be honourably buried on Mt. Snowden, and he named the place Beddgelert (Grave of Gellert).
