The survey found that 10% of primary and 32% of secondary schools admitted they did make compulsory charges for trips which were linked to the national curriculum.
Only 38% of parents knew that they should not pay for trips during school hours, according to the report.

So it is OK for schooled kids to get free days out but not unschooled ones?! I though the Govt was adamant that it was not going to fund our right to edumacation?
My thoughts.. I think home schoolers now should apply for funding to access these “star” rated attractions, as they are what the goverment believes is quality educational places as per the national curriculum
It is still difficult to determine what are our rights and what should we do. I think we are so ignorant about such activities and parents should be educated.
